hockey skates

am still trying to learn how to stop - hockey stop (or just plain stop, grrrr!!!). been tryin for months now and am getting frustrated. could stop (with one foot) before when was still using rental figure skates. got my hockey skates, damn expensive skates. sulked for a week coz of the price but now am over it and all am interested in is learning how to skate. the good part is can already crossover, hurray!!! (even though it's just right over left) :D still missing that toe pick and that long blade at the back of the skates...there's simply nothing there (in hockey skates). have this habit of leaning backwards, got used to the figure skates. actually fell in front of my crush. was struggling for the toe pick and the long blade at the back that wasn't there trying not to fall. that guy didn't even bother helping me. tried getting up really fast but found out i couldn't (again due to the lack of that darn long blade at the back of the skates). a bit frustrating but still loving skating though :D
