wento-wento
got a new coach, hurray!!! hehehe... am so bad. not really, am a good-natured gal once you get to know me :P my previous coach was all figure skating and now i have a hockey coach. yey! :D still can't hockey stop... esp. when going really fast (can occasionally stop when going really slow and bending really low). am currently trying to learn how to do the backward crossover. way too scary! am doing it very slowly since am still hesitant to fall face-down first on the ice. almost fell while doing the crossover (forward) over the weekend. my right skate hit my left skate while trying to cross. hate that metal clink, you know something's about to happen when you hear it. nice thing i was near the railings (lots of spectators outside but then as long as i don't know them/i don't see their faces i really don't mind :D)
am 26 years old!!! this is one birthday i guess i'll remember. spent my birthday doing some of the things i really like (that would be sleeping and skating). spent most part of the day on my own (again sleeping and skating). made new rink friends too. one of the sungit coaches now talks to me so i guess that's an achievement (for an antisocial like me). one major no-no i learned on my bday is riding the mrt while carrying a big and heavy fragile package on rush hour. hehe... had no choice, the taxi line was way too long and i still had to go to church. carried a heavy punch bowl set, a set of glasses and my skates all the way to the mrt station (whoever designed that really long mrt stairs has got to have a sadistic side). had my big adidas bag on one arm and the punch bowl set on the other (felt like... uhhmm, i couldn't really feel anything much at that point). luckily (?!?) the train was so full so not much chance of falling. had no means of holding on to anything else at that moment.
went to mass and had our boarding house xmas party that night. it was nice. got my birthday song (my parents woke me up at 6am and sang a loud but sweet rendition over the fone and another one from my housemates during the party) and got to blow a candle (a used one at that, not that am complaining. just adds to the uniqueness of this bday). am now a proud owner of a mighty ducks vcd set! :D hahaha... how pathetic can that sound :P all in all, an unforgettable birthday! thanks Papa God for another year! mwah! you're the best! :D
