"Sometimes I think a remembered phone number is so sad. The telephone number you told me at that moment, I still haven’t been able to forget it, even when you are no longer around."

weekend thing...

first... jas and jun are married!!! just got jas' text message (wrote this last sunday). congrats guys! we're really happy for you. wish we could have been there to share your happiness :P guess i won't be calling casas "casas" anymore :D

another wedding... jason and donna are now married! congrats guys!!! :D i don't exactly know all the details, my nanay just texted me about this. it's their civil wedding, they'll be having their church wedding on december. (which reminds me, i don't have my measurements yet) :P

went to megamall last saturday. it's been a while. saw coach paul, said hi and waved at coach jp (the cute coach, the one that looks a bit like satoshi. :P) saw mikka and louie too. i miss those guys. the good news is that the doctor said that i can skate, as long as i don't fall. perhaps that's possible, as long as i don't attempt to learn anything new (or old.)

went to jovs and dionne's house last sunday. we were supposed to have an sml (-richie +bmac) thing but something came up so it was an sml (-richie -benj -beej +bmac -bmac) thing. :P

on to jmovies and twmovies...

"what's in a name? that which we call a rose by any other name, would smell as sweet"
- romeo and juliet

go! this movie is about a japanese born-korean guy's (kubozuka yosuke) love story. it's not exactly a love story, more like about one's struggle with one's identity. "me <> deep" so forgive me for not expounding. a good film. heard that this was the movie that made kubozuka famous (rightly so). the girl (kou shibasaki) here was the same one that i didn't like in good luck! and orange days. amazingly, i liked her here. must be right on my theory about hating her just because it was takuya kimura and satoshi tsumabuki she was with (they're mine! *delusional* :P).

go go g-boys. it's a funny gay film. :) thought the lead was a bit familiar. at one point i wondered if he was lin chi ying (jimmy lin.) i found out later that he was tae, the other guy with jimmy lin in amazing twins. waaah! what happened to him? he's no longer as cute as before (must be the hair.) :(

summer time machine blues. another ueno juri film, this time it's with eita (nodame, sukida, medaka.) it a comedy. here's sangatsu7's (jdramas) summary that got me interested in this movie:

"This hillarious movie is about a bunch of students who accidentally stumble across a time machine and what do they do with it? They go back to yesterday to try and fix their air-conditioner ^o^ "

jdramas...

don't you think the words "try, because you have nothing to lose" are wise words? life is fun because occasionally you succeed in what you try.
- kenzou's boss

watched ep. 9 of prodai. nothing much really happened. :( what's up with rei? what does kenzou not understand? i don't get it either. *dense! dense! dense!* :(

tv series...

watched the season ender of house (season 3) and i was a bit disappointed. everyone was saying that it's a good episode, fit to be an season-ender so i had high expectations. :( i still like the previous season ender better. waaah! :( what's happening to grey's and house?!?! heroes... still at ep 7 (naunahan pa ako ng tatay ko.) i don't have my copy with me, lent it to melissa. *excuses* i was actually bored but was told that it picked up after a few more episodes. :)

reasons for getting a haircut:

1) can't manage hair properly
2) it's that time of the month
3) someone pissed me off
4) MRI findings:
asymmetric disk bulge with mild central spinal canal stenosis, L2-3 level
ligamentum flavum hypertrophy, L3-4 and L4-5 levels.
which translates to: an "almost" slip disk :(
5) was advised to stop tennis lessons

it's mostly #5. *sighs* i really enjoyed the lessons. i'm nowhere near playing a game, can't even get my service right but it was something to look forward to every week. didn't even mind waking up at 5am. tennis was an outlet, my new "skating." =( still, i'm thankful for the "almost."

on a lighter note, had an mri last thursday. i know this wasn't exactly good news but i was still pretty excited (too much house.) knew that there'd be banging sounds and that i'd have to lie very still, just didn't know it'd take 20 minutes. the mri machine at capitol medical center (cmc) wasn't exactly the same as the one i saw in house either. it was supposed to be circular, theirs was flat with only a few inches of space left between your nose and the ceiling. not advisable for claustrophobics.

went to trinoma last saturday (this was after i got the news that i won't be playing any tennis in the near future.) had a haircut, bought a book (the undomestic goddess) and watched ocean's 13. at first i thought the mall was small, after an hour of going around... found out it's not :) kinda like a combined glorietta and greenbelt, nice :) ocean's 13 was nice and funny. for most people they liked 11 the most, me i liked 12 better. it was actually the first time (i think... as long as FC doesn't count) that i watched a movie on my own. it was weird... the person beside me was an old lady and we didn't exactly laugh at the same scenes (hmmm... did she even laugh) it's a weird thing, laughing all by yourself.

on to kdramas... finally finished witch yoo hee. to be honest i was a bit disappointed. didn't really like all the drama after they got together. this has been my problem even with other series. i've always lost interest after the leads got together. that's why even though i enjoyed my girl and lovers in paris at the beginning, i lost interest in the end. i can't even finish which star are you from, i stopped in the middle (yes, they got together in the middle of the drama.) i just can't appreciate the "you and me against the world" theme (of course there are exceptions.) back to witch yoo hee, *SPOILER ALERT!!!!* (sorry bmac, i really don't know how to be more threatening... it's kdramas anyway so it doesn't count :P) i think they overused the "i'm about to go off to some other country but for you i won't" scene. that destroyed the ending for me. i also hate that they made kim jeong hoon the bad guy :( way too hot to hate... but i still ended up hating his character. :( dennis oh was just eye candy. i really hated that, nothing happened to his character (but still... it was nice staring at him :P) i know i've been using the word "hate" a lot but in truth, i liked this drama, it was really fun in the beginning. it won't be in my top ten or anything but would still recommend to all kdrama fans (too many hot guys to pass up :P)

jdramas... currently watching proposal daisakusen (prodai). it's about a guy (kenzou) who's been secretly in love with his childhood friend (rei) but never got the chance to tell her. at rei's wedding (to some other guy), he's been given a chance to go back to the past for a second chance. well, not just second, lots of chances actually. for every picture shown in a slideshow, he gets to go back to that moment in the past. watching kenzou (yamapi) trying so hard to change the picture (changing rei's frown into a smile, giving rei her first kiss, trying to forget rei) is just heart-wrenching although sometimes you'd want to shake them both for being stupid. (im)patiently waiting for it every week and although it's only on its 8th episode i predict that it'll be in my 5-star list. it's funny, sweet and had me bawling twice already. it's also a plus that i have no idea if kenzou and rei would end up together and if ever they will, it'll probably happen in the last episode. highly recommended to all yamapi fans. i also just finished watching be nice to people (hito ni yasashiku). my very first shingo (smap) drama. "3 men and a baby"-jap style. among the three i liked taro (matsuoka mitsuru from love and fight) the best, he kinda looks like a girl (at best, drag queen at worst) from afar but sexy nonetheless (nonetheless! jihan!) also watching dance drill (with eri from prodai.)

jmovies... way of blue sky. most of the dance drill girls are in this one. i don't really recognize the male lead but i liked the movie. was fun watching the girls portraying different (from their dance drill) characters, truly talented actresses (imo) :) another movie, 69 (nope, it's not about sex.) it's an old satoshi tsumabuki film. it's about a group of boys' summer of '69. i can't really appreciate movies like this but it's a satoshi movie. :)

anime... finished watching ouran high school host club. it was really funny but a bit open-ended (i think). among all the boys, i liked hikaru and ootori the best although i'd still like haruhi to end up with baka tamaki (how could he be so clueless?!?) :)
