i've just finished watching the first episode of yukan club. thanks to all the negative feedback, i actually enjoyed it a little. :D jinjin is so cute, loved the fake cry part at the end (and the lollipop scenes of course.) it's just that i kept on looking at the clock while watching this, mentally computing how much longer til it finishes up. some scenes were funny though. i kinda agree with the everyone on the "if it weren't for jin..." theory :)

watched the first 4 episodes of kamisama, mou sukoshi dake. fukada kyoko really does resemble song hye gyo at times. when kyoko gets mad/sad/happy, her eyes and features are the same with hye gyo (i first noticed this in SOS) although i still find hye gyo prettier. weh, maybe it's just me :) actually, am a bit irritated that i only have the first 4 episodes. i want to finish this soon. it's really interesting. btw, is yankumi really in this series or it's just someone who looks like her? it is her! (nakama yukie)

i've seen taiyou no uta (movie) and i loved it. YUI is just so pretty and so funny. i loved the part where she introduced herself to takashi tsukamoto. i had this for a long time and just wasn't in the mood to watch it. lately been interested in sad dramas once again and i wanted to watch the drama version but i wanted to see the movie first. bad move. now i don't want to watch the drama. i've seen the first episode and i kept on compairing the two. i used to like erika sawajiri in 1 litre of tears but eversince i read somewhere that she's got this uhmmm... personality(?) and saw a portion of smapxsmap where she guested, i kinda don't like her anymore. Yui portrayed kaoru like an innocent girl while erika's version's got attitude. Yui kinda resembles Maja Salvador (local artist).

i've also finished yamato nadesiko shichihenge last week (thanks teckie!). really funny anime. sunako was just hilarious. i loved her mini version and you gotta love the nosebleeds. :P a bit creepy and morbid but really fun to watch. :)

I should probably sleep first before doing this but for some reason i'm not sleepy just yet (note to self: must not drink coffee). i just finished watching sapuri and surprisingly i loved it (
ito misaki and all.) ito misaki is one of the few jap actresses that always irked me (shibasaki kou is on the list but i'm trying really hard to like her for my satoshi's sake, plus she's got nice songs). am so proud of myself! i actually learned to like her (ito). initially , i thought there was absolutely no chemistry between kame and ito. they just didn't match. ito was better off with eita. i didn't even think i'd get past ep 1. hmmmm.. i wonder what made me continue watching this (kame, kame, kame!) but watch it i did. i only had the first 3 eps back then and well the rest i watched last night til a few minutes ago. it was a fun drama to watch and i really enjoyed it. in the end, i was rooting for them.

i actually watched anego a few days/weeks ago and enjoyed it too (i even have a crush on jin now although anego was the main reason for my liking this drama, i just love shinohara ryoko) compairing the two drama, it's kinda hard. kame definitely outranks jin but story-wise and overall feeling, i probably enjoyed anego more. i think i laughed more.

ok, back to the original topic, kame. how can he be ugly and pretty at the same time? i really don't understand why people say he's goodlooking (same with sakurai sho - but i adore sho!). it was quite a shock for me when i first saw him in nobuta, playing the handsome, cool shuuji. the cool part is a given, he can pull that one off even in his sleep but the handsome part...tsk tsk. back then i haven't seen gokusen 2 yet and i haven't fallen in love with him yet (happened in tatta hitotsu no koi) :P still, even now, i still don't find him handsome. i find him pretty at times (not cute but pretty) but i still think he resembles one of the shinigamis in death note. :P hmmm... i wonder why i like him so much (enough to bump junichi to #3 on my list, kimura-san will always be #1 of course.) one more thing, this has been bothering me, he really doesn't know how to kiss onscreen. in tatta i sorta noticed it but the scene was a bit short so that didn't bother me as much, plus it was with ayase so i didn't mind. speaking of ayase, congrats on winning the best actress award in the 12th Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix and to the whole hotaru no hikari team (best drama!) i finished watching this yesterday too (1:30 am) although i watched the last ep without subs. i'm gonna rewatch it when the subs come out. wonderful drama. once again, i drifted off topic. back to kame's kissing scenes. it came out really awkward. the height was probably one of the factors but there's something about the look and feel of the scenes. imo, he needs to practice that. speaking of kissing scenes, i just saw a great one from a local soap (from our rival network). dingdong's kiss was just... let's just say that marian rivera is a one lucky gal. :P he could learn a thing or two from the coffee prince kissing scenes too. weh! why am i obsessing over this? i think i'm sleepy now. ja!

"I thought I might be using a lifetime's happiness in a moment. I was that happy and she was that beautiful."

i just finished watching this and my eyes are still a bit sore from all the crying. cried on almost every episode, not just the "a few sad tears falling down" kind of crying, it was the "it's so heartbreaking, i can't breathe properly from all the crying" kind of crying. despite all the bawling, i'm not actually sure if i liked this drama, but this took a lot from me. it was beautiful and painful to watch. it was that beautiful so it was that painful. or was it that it was that painful so it was that beautiful. the truth is, i never did wanted him to let go of aki. it was heartbreaking. met the selfish me, the unreasonable me. :(

*definitely better than the movie versions.

tatta hitotsu no koi
watched: october 2007
rating: 5 stars

reasons for loving this drama:

i love ayase haruka.

i fell in love with kamenashi kazuya.

a simple (if not overused) story but surprisingly, it worked for me.

there's nothing like witnessing somebody fall in love for the first time.

nao's honesty is refreshing, makes me rethink my views on relationships.

kept me up til 3-4am for a few consecutive days on workdays (you can imagine what it was like at work.)

rewatched the last 2 eps the day after and still cried (more than the first time)

the first dorama that i can recall (although vaguely) what happened in which episode.

kame was... *sigh*

dramas with [occasional] narration (preferably the guy) works for me.

favorite lines/scenes:

"at that time, i felt i could love you for the rest of my life"
- kanzaki hiroto

"we were too naive and too young and uncontrollably... only 20"
- kanzaki hiroto

"I love your hands, it's warm and always squeezes my hand when I want you to"
- nao

silly thought: i found it funny that toda erika's character in liar game was named kanzaki nao (toda erika played nao's bestfriend)

i finished this drama last wednesday (technically thursday am) but when i woke up this afternoon (woke up really late), i found myself replaying the scenes in my head and got teary eyed (must be the hormones!).

i looked forward and enjoyed my "dates with kame" (i referred to the nights i watched this as "a date with kame"). it really helped me with the stress at work. :P
